Welcoming Mr. Stephen Sanchez, the new Principal of Little Flower Catholic School

Little Flower Catholic School is proud to announce the arrival of our new principal, Mr. Stephen Sanchez!

He is a lifelong Catholic educator, with extensive experience as a principal/administrator, teacher, and youth minister. He holds an MA in Educational Leadership from Fordham University, Certification in Business Analytics, Accounting, and Economics from Harvard Business School, and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.

Though he is new to the Little Flower Catholic family, he is not new to Catholic education. Mr. Stephen comes to Little Flower Catholic School from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel–St. Benedicta Catholic School in Staten Island, NY (Archdiocese of New York). Prior to his work as a principal and administrator, he taught Spanish and Religion at the middle and high school levels and worked extensively with Catholic programs to assist Spanish speaking immigrant families. He is fluent in English and Spanish and conversant in Italian and French.

As you get to know Mr. Stephen, you will see his is enthusiastic for the work of forming young people in both mind and heart in every expression of a school’s life. He believes that the primary responsibility of adults working in a Catholic school is the communication of the positivity of reality through which Jesus of Nazareth comes personally, making school a place of encounter. To accomplish this, it requires a commitment from Mr. Stephen and Fr. Matthew to the formation of teachers and staff as they are invited into this mission.

At the end of the day, everything a Catholic school does educates and therefore communicates a worldview through which Christ is again made flesh. A school incarnates this mission through its commitment to the expression of the unity of faith and life, helping young people to experience the fullness and beauty of a life lived in the embrace of the Church.
