Welcoming 24 candidates and participants into our parish RCIA program at Little Flower Catholic Church

Peace of Christ!

I’m extremely grateful to Fr Matthew Worthen, Pastor of Little Flower Catholic Church, for sharing with me his plans and visions for the parish. He is so inspiring and so encouraging.

I pray that in my simple capacity as parochial vicar I may be able to assist him fulfill those endeavors, visions and plans.

I feel so elated when he assigned me to take care of the RCIA program for the parish. The 26 candidates and participants in this year’s program only show that more parishioners have been craving to nourish their spirits and would like to gain more knowledge about God. In the RCIA program, the team and mentors present to the catechumens the beauty of the Catholic faith, the value of the sacraments, the missions of the Catholic Church, the vocations of individuals and many more.

It is really fulfilling and inspiring to work with those who have drifted away from the church and now back to God’s fold, those who have just accepted the faith , and those who wish to receive the needed sacraments.

It seems to me that I share in that ministry of Christ as a shepherd.
