The history and current needs of the St. Teresa of Calcutta Mission

The St. Teresa Mission, now serving about 250-300 families per month, had a humble origin. Our initial response to the needs of our local brothers and sisters was serving donated clothing from the trunk of a car on parish grounds. The arrival of Msgr. Crawford in the 90’s was the impetus for a building structure and formal process to help the needy. Now, in 2018, the Mission not only offers clothing, shoes, household goods, but food as well.

In the past, we have been able to help children who come to us for help (while their single parent is out looking for work), young pregnant women kicked out of their homes by their parents, and veterans who have hit a hard time (and just need to get back on their feet).

Approaching November (Thanksgiving) and December (Christmas), the St. Teresa Mission has several needs, and needs your help. Serving people living out of their cars, military veterans, and those experiencing a hard time, lives are transformed through the generosity of the parishioners of Little Flower.

The mission is living community and we need your help.
